William Osetek
WILLIAM OSETEK recently completed a 13 year tenure as the Artistic Director of Drury Lane Theatre in Chicago where his credits include: Chicago, Young Frankenstein, Spamalot & Thoroughly Modern Millie (each nominated for the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Direction and Best Production). Additional credits include Mamma Mia!, Deathtrap, White Christmas, Peter and the Starcatcher, The Game’s Afoot, Sunset Boulevard,Gypsy, Funny Girl, Mame, The Mousetrap, Of Thee I Sing, The Pirates of Penzance, Camelot, Barefoot in the Park, and The King & I. Mr. Osetek was the recipient of the 2014 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Director of a Musical for Next to Normal. In addition to his directing credits, Osetek’s adaptation of A Christmas Carol has been performed at Drury Lane for 14 seasons. With a B.A. in Theatre from Loyola University of Chicago, Mr. Osetek has an M.F.A. in directing from Illinois State University. William Osetek teaches at Ball State University Department of Theatre and Dance where he has been an adjunct professor for 8 years.
